about

Leather Egg is the personal web site of Ron Yeany. The blog is where I write. I no longer maintain a photo gallery here, opting to move my photos to Flickr.

You may contact me directly at this email address: ron@leatheregg.com

I’ve maintained at least one personal web site continuously since 1997. Entries posted on Leather Egg dated prior to March 2000 were originally published at doublefeature.com and have since been consolidated here. Entries posted in March 2000 and thereafter are original to this site.

My claims to blog fame (or notoriety) include a 2001 Bloggies nomination for Best GLBT Weblog, and I’m the author of The Blogger Code — a wildly successful meme in January 2002. I also contributed The Blogger Code as a chapter for the book We’ve Got Blog.

All entries and comments remain publicly available on archive pages. I reserve the right to delete inappropriate, offensive, or stupid comments. Comments are disabled on (most) archive posts.

You are reading version 10 of Leather Egg. Archived snapshots and descriptions of older versions can be viewed in Leather Egg Past.

The Leather Egg logo, symbol, and logotext are original designs of the author. I may use images on blog entries from other sources under fair use guidelines of copyright law, and will credit the source in the image code where available. All original content (text, photos, and graphics) is copyright the owner and should not be used elsewhere without permission.

If you have received spam with a leatheregg.com return email address (random characters or words @ leatheregg.com), I apologize. One or more individuals or companies have used and/or are using this domain name without my permission as the return and/or sending address for spam. I am not responsible for these e-mail messages and, unfortunately, have no way to stop them. Please know that however angry you are at receiving this spam, I am equally as angry (if not more so) to be receiving both bounced e-mails and ill will because my domain name has been hijacked.
